Ennetsee Day Care Nursery accepts care vouchers (Betreuungsgutscheine) issued by the following communities: Hünenberg, Cham, Steinhausen, and Zug. To be eligible for vouchers, you have to be a resident of one of these communities. Please feel free to contact us for further information.

Ennetsee Day Care Nursery is housed in two spacious apartments near Zythus on the boundary between the Cham and Hünenberg See communities. More precisely, the nursery’s building is located opposite Zythus at Luzernerstrasse 89, 6333 Hünenberg See, next to Hünenberg Zythus train station.

The children move in the nursery in a group of up to 12 children. Mostly the groups are mixed in age from 3 months to 5 years. The educators have training in the field of childcare.

All children are allowed to settle in at our nursery according to their individual needs. In other words, we will adapt the settling in process to each child. Normally, settling in is a step-by-step process that can be described as follows:

1. Stage:
The child pays a (2 hour) visit to the group together with their parent or legal guardian. The child can move about freely within the group and discover whatever they want. The group manager will gather important information on the child and explain the daily nursery routine to the parents or legal guardian.

2. Stage:
The parent or legal guardian takes a more reserved role as an observer. The child is accompanied by the parent or legal guardian, who will stay until the child immerses him/herself in a game. The parent then tells the child that he/she will go outside to drink a cup of coffee and that he/she will come fetch the child within a few hours. (duration: 2-3 hours).

3. Stage:
The child stays in the group on its own and the parent or legal guardian leaves the nursery. He/she should stay nearby and be available if need be. If the child manages to adapt to the new situation and gets involved in the game and with the group manager, we will encourage this stage to last for half a day the first time. Later on, we will increase the time spent in the Nursery until the child is ready to do a full day. The group manager accompanies the child throughout the day and will take pictures to shows the parent/s how and what the child was doing during the day. These pictures will also be used to design the child’s first portfolio. You can also take these pictures home if you want for your child to have something that is positively associated with the nursery. We believe this could make the settling in process easier.

4. Stage:
The child knows right from the beginning that they are going to stay in the nursery on their own and have an exciting day at the nursery. The child also knows that the parent or legal guardian is going to collect them later. At this stage the child is fully familiarized and completely settled into the Nursery.

We are open from 7 a.m to 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

At Ennetsee Day Care Nursery, your child’s well-being is the center of attention. It is Ennetsee Day Care Nursery’s goal to provide the kids with an environment that nurtures their independence and in which they can feel at ease and develop. We accept the children as they are and let them be “just kids”.

We offer the children varied monthly themes, on the basis of which we organize suitable daily activities. Our regular outings are aligned with our monthly themes as well. Ennetsee Day Care Nursery also offers a variety of informal parental gatherings that allow you to get in touch and exchange ideas with the other kids’ parents.
